Aristo Heavyweight Truck Tip

In June I got my first set of Aristocraft Heavyweight cars. First thing I noticed was that the trucks would bind as they swiveled past the center point. I had read a lot about ways to improve things on the HWs but had not seen this problem so I documented it here. |

| Close inspection of the truck and bolster showed a rub mark on the guide post shoulder of the bolster. The white stuff is grease I applied to try to solve the problem before I found this rub mark | There was a corresponding rub mark on the truck rib | |

| On this truck you can see the rub mark on both the shoulder and post. A little filing of the shoulder and post fixed the problem | I found the problem on 3 of 4 heavyweight cars. No more binding, they flow through this S with no problems |
