| Here is the
main board of the Pacific with the dummy plug installed. The loco comes
with a male and female connector for connecting to the tender. I cut the
traces between pins 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10, 11. Pins 4 and 9 are to headlight
power so I jumpered them to pins 1/2 and pins 12/11, which are track
power. The headlight will stay on full time. As I understand it, this
was common on steam of that era. |
|
I connected the
male connector wires to pins 1/2 and 12/11 which are track power. This
feeds track power to the tender. I then connected the female connector
wires to pins 3 and 10 which are inputs to the motors. The receiver
motor outputs will feed the female connector. |

| Here is the
receiver in the tender. I again used the short adapter board. I soldered
new wires onto the board for track power and motor outputs so I would
not have to splice them. I un soldered the headlight wires since I would
not be using them. |

Here is the 2K2
sound board surrounded by various other boards and switches. I mounted
small perf boards onto the post near the speaker to use as track power
junction boards. |

 |
| Here is an
overview of the installation. The electronics board in the upper
center is the G Scale Graphics SST module. It is connected between the
2K2 board and reed switches for horn and bell. It shuffles what
sound is played when the reed switches are tripped by track magnets. |

Here are the
connectors between the loco and tender. The top loco female to tender
male is the motor power connector. The bottom loco male to tender female
is the track power connector. |
